Join us on May 8 OR May 22 for a workshop on Native Beading with local beader Phoenix Ybarra. Learn about traditional Native American beading and the history behind it, and make your own beaded wristlet keychain!

All materials will be provided. You do not need any beading experience to participate!

Registration is required as seats are limited, so please register as soon as you can to reserve your spot! Please only register for one of the sessions, either May 8 OR May 22.

This program is intended for adults. Please contact Samantha, Adult Services Librarian, at sbarsanti [at] deforestlibrary.org if you need any accommodations to be able to fully participate.

About Phoenix:  “I am an Apache/Lakota Native American beader who has been beading for almost 20 years! I was taught by my nana when I was little and still do it and stay close to my culture while doing so. I love being able to share and teach others that are interested. I hope you are willing to join me in learning beading and some history, and please feel free to ask questions!”
