"The practice of art making holds great therapeutic power. Encouraging creative outlets in our daily lives can help increase wellbeing and foster positive emotions.

Come experience those benefits in a Therapeutic Art session, where you will make an Intuitive Mandala as a new, creative self-care practice. Although Intuitive Mandalas look a little different than the ones from ancient Buddhist and Hinduist traditions (geometric and symmetrical patterns arranged in circular form) they serve a similar purpose: calming the mind, healing and grounding.

A wide variety of media will be provided for participants to choose from and the facilitator, Gabrielle Drouin-Montas, a second year Masters of Art Therapy student at Pennsylvania Western University, Edinboro and longtime mixed media artist, will offer guidance for learning artistic techniques as well as intuitive/introspective practices.

No artistic abilities are required to experience the benefits of Therapeutic Art." - Gabrielle Drouin-Montas
