- Discussion: Berg pointed out that this is the largest bill run of the year. It has the annual magazine subscription renewal and all the ILS/ Technology and most of the database fees in it as well. There are also a lot of books. Berg explained that Play Patrol payment is for a program they present virtually which the library can link to for our patrons to view. WiLs payment is for our databases. They act as a buying club for databases for all types of libraries in Wisconsin. They negotiate a better price than we could get.
- Action: All Approved
- Reports
- Director's - Berg’s certification arrived almost instantaneously after the documentation and the form were emailed in. They took Berg’s word that the check was in the mail. This renewal is good until 2026. The Ripple project of the Dane County Public Libraries is underway with a series of workshops that began this week and continue through the month. Ripple is the DEI initiative paid for by Beyond the Page funds. Berg is working on the annual report. Assistant Director, Christa Tollefson, wrestled with the data all week and had the numbers on Thursday afternoon. Dane County’s reimbursement formula for the upcoming year will use the same numbers as 2019 since the numbers from 2020 are so skewed. The in-house ad for the Adult Services Librarian went up last week. We will expand to our website and social media next week and see who we get.
- President's - None.
- Village Update - The splash pad at Fireman’s Park is scheduled to get underway. Building permits in 2020 were down in t the village. So far this year, those numbers seem to be going up. There was money for a Business Walk. The village is attempting to nurture and expand local businesses to help create more local jobs.
