  6. Reports
    1. Director's - Berg Noted that the Halloween party on Saturday the 30th, was well attended and greatly enjoyed by participants. The weather was cool, cloudy, and windy and didn’t turn sunny until after the party was over. Dino-day on the 13th of November is shaping up to be quite the event. Library staff is looking forward to seeing the animatronic T-Rex and friends. It should be great fun for families, There will be dinosaurs to paint, coloring sheets, trivia, a “dig” with plaster bones cast in our own workshop, and a couple of lecture by the Milwaukee Museum. In December, Santa will be here on the 11th. The library will be doing a couple of craft/ activities for Winter Fest on December 4th. Carols and cocoa one afternoon
    2. President's - None.
    3. Village Update - Landgraf reported that the village is still searching for a Financial Administrator. They have 24 applicants for the village administrator position. That number will be narrowed down to 8 and then perhaps once the final three are determined and open house, meet-and-greet, might be held. Pinseekers is looking for an extension and loans for the project. Things might not happen until June. There is talk about having fiberglass dragons created and painted by local artists – like cows on the concourse. The budget is the biggest topic of discussion.
  7. Old Business
    1. Continued discussion about the strategic plan.
      • Berg had sent out a draft of a plan based on the survey data for the board’s review and input. Library staff has not seen this draft yet which will be the next. Feedback from the board and staff will shape the second edition of the plan which Berg will try to bring back to the December library board meeting. Final approval might happen at that meeting. Board members liked the format. Zeimet asked if it was too much to bite off. The input of library staff on feasibility will be helpful.
    2. On-going discussion of draft FY2022 Budget
      • Berg updated the board on her appearance before the Village Board Committee of the Whole on October 19th. There has been no feedback on the draft budget at the time of the library board meeting.
