Join us as Glenn Schmidt shares about traveling.
If you are a traveler and you'd like to know what the post-COVID world of travel is like, this session is for you. A teacher, world traveler, neighbor, and labor editor, Glenn will take you on a PowerPoint tour of his new book about travel, Travel Lessons: Your personal guide to better travel, while offering tips and tricks you can use to plan your travels. He will also recount his own journey to becoming a published author. Whether it's hunting for truffles in Croatia or humoring security in Iceland, Glenn's slightly off-kilter look at the world of travel will charm and inform you.
Watercolor Basics!
Join us as we have fun exploring watercolor painting! Cate will help participants walk through some easy watercolor techniques and we’ll have fun creating an abstract piece of art.
We’ll bring the paper, paint, and brushes - you bring the creativity!
Introducing The Friends of Governor Nelson State Park
Curious about nearby State Parks? The Friends of Governor Nelson State Park will be presenting information on this nearby State Park! The park offers hiking, prairie, woods, oak savannah, two beaches (one for people, one for pets), picnic areas, a boat launch, Indian Mounds, and much more. Volunteer activities are also available to help support the Friends group and the park - a critical role as government funding for State Parks continues to decline.
