Celebrate your freedom to read by joining us for thoughtful discussions about challenged and banned books in a safe and compassionate environment. 

We will explore a variety of books that have been cited by the American Library Association (ALA) as being frequently challenged. Though some of the books may have been written for younger readers, the Banned Book Club is intended for adults.

Advance Directive Planning: Financial Power of Attorney Presentation & Workshop

Join us on Tuesday, May 7 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Community Room for an educational program about Financial Power of Attorney.

From 4:00 until 5:00 pm, there will be a presentation by Attorney Kate Schilling, a Legal Services Manager in the Elder Law & Advocacy Center of the Greater Wisconsin Agency on Aging Resources, Inc. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session.

Dye your own yarn using acid dye. If you like knitting, crocheting, or other fiber arts and want to personalize your projects try hand dyeing yarn. All supplies will be provided.

Shirley Merker returns to show us the techniques to make cards with a Spring theme! Participants will get to make a bottle shaker card, a puppy punch card, and a pillow box and gift note.

Techniques and strategies make a big difference…sometimes it’s having the right tools…and sometimes it’s knowing what products work best in each situation. 

Let’s cover the basics and all become better drywallers, because chances are, if you own a home…you will have to do drywall work at some point.
