Join us for a visit to Deckawoo Drive with everyone’s favorite adventure loving pig, Mercy Watson! Newbery Medal winning author Kate DiCamillo will be sharing the stories behind the creation of her early chapter book series, the original Mercy Watson, and the follow up series, Tales from Deckawoo Drive. We will also be celebrating the publication of the final book in the Mercy Watson series!

Come and shake your sillies out with Miss Emily at our Outdoor Summer Storytime. Join us from 10:00 - 10:30 am for singing, dancing, stories, and more! After the stories stay and move and groove with some fun outdoor activities. This program is geared toward kids of all ages. Bring a blanket to sit on and join in the fun!

Exploring the Eclipse

Children's Room & Teen Area

Learn about the solar eclipse and see it in action! 

Starting at 1 pm there will be interactive science activities in the Children's Room and Teen Area to explore how the eclipse happens and how we can watch it safely, followed by a viewing of the eclipse on the patio. 

Eclipse glasses will be provided (while supplies last) for all participants, and try the Library's eclipse binoculars and telescopes (equipped with safety filters).
