In addition to our regular sessions, instructor Nancy Osley offers free Qigong practice most Thursday mornings at the Village Square—just across the street from the library.

These outdoor sessions are weather-permitting and open to everyone age 12 and up. No registration required—just drop in!

Qigong is a gentle, moving meditation that’s easy to learn and suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Simply follow the instructor’s movements to help reduce tension, improve breathing, and increase flexibility while enjoying the health properties of outdoor movement.

A waiver will need to be signed before participating but can be signed at the library anytime before your first class. If a 12-17 year old wants to join, we ask that their parent or legal guardian stop by the library to sign the waiver prior to their first class.

If you require accommodations to fully take part, please contact library staff—we’re happy to help. If you’d like to be on the email list for cancellation notices, please email Cate, Adult Services Librarian, at cateh [at] deforestlibrary.org
