This class is for those new to Medicare, as well as those currently enrolled. We’ll cover the component parts of Medicare, discuss recent changes, and options for managing health care costs in retirement.
This program is free and open to the public. The licensed insurance professionals involved in the seminar are in no way connected to or affiliated with Medicare. The seminar will provide basic Medicare information, while not talking about any specific companies or products. This is an educational seminar. There will be no products marketed or sold.
Do you want some different holiday decorations, but don’t want to spend any money on them? Or would you like to share decorations you don’t use anymore? Come to our holiday decoration swap!
Here’s how it works:
Bring new or gently used decorations such as outdoor decor, ornaments, ribbon, wreaths, centerpieces, tree skirts, candles, lights, and miscellaneous.
For each item you bring, you can take one.
Enjoy holiday refreshments and find some new treasures!
Items left over will be donated to a charity shop.
Join us for an afternoon of fun and excitement with the Soda Pups! Ginger Ale, Root Beer, and Sundrop will entertain us with their tricks, obedience, and agility. Each pup has special tricks up their sleeves.
The "Soda Pups" show has been entertaining and educating children of all ages for the past 15 years.

A memory screen is a wellness tool that helps identify possible changes in memory.
It creates a baseline so future changes can be monitored. Specialists from the Dane County Aging and Disability Resource Center will provide free 10-minute memory screenings. You can also get information about memory, memory clinics, brain health and local resources.
Go Big Read, UW–Madison’s common-reading program, has thousands of people reading, talking and sharing their reactions and opinions. This open-ended, lively discussion is a platform for the exploration of important issues, from a range of perspectives. Join the conversation, read the book and bring your thoughts to the table at the DeForest Area Public Library’s discussion. Copies will be available at our library.

If you want to find a good book, look around you! Wisconsin abounds with local authors and books about our state. Copies of the books to be discussed will be available for checkout at the library.
Whether you're an accomplished or aspiring writer, this club's for you! Participants share writing samples and offer constructive criticism. Any form of writing is encouraged, including anecdotal, political/situational commentary, poetry, prose, and children's literature.
This group meets at 6:00 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month in Meeting Room D.
In our fast-paced society there is still a place for handwritten notes - especially for something as important and personal as the thank-you note.
Is there someone you've wanted to thank and you just haven't taken time to do it? On the second Thursday of each month, we'll supply the cards, pens and stamps for you to send a little joy someone's way!
