Because we have some members of our group who live in places other than DeForest, take your camera wherever you call home this month, whether it is Madison, Cottage Grove, or even Boulder Junction.

Capture the daily life of your community through streets, buildings, natural features, and events.

Practice social distancing while capturing your images!

A street photograph has to be a real, unposed moment an da person does not have to be in a photo for it to be considered a street photograph.

Practice social distancieng while capturing your images!

You've probably heard that coloring has many benefits.  Here's what the Journal of the American Art Therapy Association recently stated.

"Studies have shown that “structured coloring of a reasonably complex geometric pattern,” such as a symmetrical mandala pattern or coloring book, can lead to a meditative state that helps reduce anxiety. Consider breaking out your adult coloring books, or drawing your own pattern."

Light painting results when a handheld light source—usually a flashlight— is used in a dark room or outdoors at night to illuminate a subject.

When you make a light painting, your camera is on a tripod with its shutter open for a timed exposure while you illuminate parts of the subject with the light.

Here is a tutorial on Learning About Your Camera with Light Painting Photography.
