A memory screen is a wellness tool that helps identify possible changes in memory.

It creates a baseline so future changes can be monitored. Specialists from the Dane County Aging and Disability Resource Center will provide free 10-minute memory screenings at the Library in Room D. You can also get information about memory, memory clinics, brain health and local resources.

Adventures on the El Camino de Santiago: Travels in Spain

Meet Jane and Tom Opps, who have hiked the 500-mile Camino de Santiago. The couple traveled the entire length from St. Jean Pied-de-Port, France, to Santiago de Compostella, Spain. The Camino pilgrimage has been travelled by pilgrims for over 1,000 years and is said to bring great physical, mental and spiritual growth to all who travel its routes. Come and hear Jane and Tom’s story of adventure.

Meet the Author Robert J. Brust

Robert Brust PE, SE, is a structural engineer who has worked on some of the country’s more well-known buildings. Brust began his lengthy search for human understanding after a tragedy: his son died, causing him to reexamine all of his assumptions about how best to live. What he learned, from looking at problem solving and life from an analytical way – from an engineer’s perspective is the premise for his book.

Known for his witty, offbeat writing style, he splits his time between homes in Madison and Paris, France. Credits include journalist, editor, ghostwriter, novelist, satirist, essayist, columnist, travel writer and theater critic.
