Make a small book to take home to use as a journal, sketch book, or whatever else you can imagine.

Patrons under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Workshop @ Home

Once a month at 1 pm, Michael, our STEAM librarian, will post an instructional video for a fun project you can complete at home.

Kits with most of the project materials will be available in our Library Street entrance (while supplies last).

This program is funded in part by the American Girl Fund for Children.
 

Soap Molding

Register for a 45 minute appointment to make your own soap!

Choose your color and scent to mix into your melted glycerin soap then pour it into a mold of your choice. 

Space is limited so we are offering this program on four different days, two on Wednesdays and two on Saturdays. Please register only once per family.

Egg Drop

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to save your egg from certain scrambling.

  • LEARN about kinetic energy and how to cancel its effects
  • BUILD a protective vehicle for your egg cargo
  • DROP the vehicle with the egg inside off the second floor of the library to see if your building skills have saved it.

Patrons 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Explore our innovative makerspace and discover what it has to offer. Nurture your inner scientist and artist by trying your hand at 3D design and printing, coding games, painting, sculpting, light woodworking, and much more. A librarian will be on hand to answer your questions and to help get you started.

If the STEAM Librarian is not in, please ask at the front desk for Workshop availability.
